Ghost hunt itself - 8pm til 1am on both nights..same areas both nights..Oldest part of the castle..
At 1am we then retire to the relaxing comfortable lounge for a night cap and ghost stories round the open fire..Then head to our haunted bedrooms and rise for breakfast.

The listed most haunted areas of the Castle are:
Bedroom 222 and 207– child hauntings and Mystery Lady, recordings and photographic evidence of a gentleman waking with scratches on his neck and a photo of a sword hanging over him above the bed. Very intriguing?
Derelict Apartment Area - Derelict area..Noises and footsteps heard
Medieval Presence Chapel – still used for marriage ceremonies but has been a morgue and a chapel...Strange lights seen here..voices heard..
Armoury Bar..voices heard here..children heard.
Medieval Banqueting Hall sits atop a hidden dungeon yet to be explored..shadows seen..voices heard.
Medieval Gallery..costume changing rooms – very active..people report being touched and grabbed.
Dungeons 1 -4 – extremely active..dark presence.. foreboding..
Victorian Gardens – a recent finding is a hidden room below that may be excavated in the near future.
Clock Tower and derelict rooms - Very unerving..Loud voices and whistles heard..One things for sure your in for a disturbed sleep when you retire to your rooms..

Abit Of History.. The first documented castle was created by Dafydd, brother of Prince Llewelyn ap Gruffydd, for King Edward I of England in 1277 who gave the fort (that was present on the site) to him in return for his treacherous help during the invasion of North Wales that year. Dafydd also had castles at Caergwle and Denbigh. It was originally known by the Welsh name of Castell Coch yn yr Gwernfor or The Red Castle in the Great Marsh. It consisted of a pentagonal upper bailey that was around 350ft long and 250ft wide with the floor level on the inside higher than the ground outside, which then sloped down to the river below. The other side of the castle was protected by a deep & wide dry moat. Are you in for a restful nights sleep..?.Or Not...
