Devizes Town Hall: A Night of Ghostly Encounters

Before the Guests Arrived

In the dimly lit basement of Devizes Town Hall, we experienced an eerie start. The mel-meter began going off on command, and the teddy bear's lights started flashing as if unseen hands were at play.

First Half of the Event

As always, Devizes Town Hall did not disappoint. In the first half of our event, we witnessed a shadow moving around the large ballroom upstairs. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation as the music boxes started playing on their own, suggesting a playful spirit was in our midst.

At the bottom of the main stairway, a mag lite flashed on and off in response to our questions. A spirit, identifying herself as a lady who frequently visited the hall, seemed to be communicating with us.

The night grew even more intriguing when we used the ouija board. A gentleman's spirit made contact, claiming to be from the 17th century. He admitted he couldn't spell, which added a layer of authenticity to the experience.

Second Half of the Event

The second half of the night was spent back in the basement. Initially, it was quiet, but once the activity started, it was astonishing. The Mel-meter began going off in the adjacent room, followed by one of our mag lites turning on and off on command, even responding to countdowns.

We experienced an array of phenomena: the music box played, teddy bears and cat balls lit up, all seemingly responding to an unseen presence. Although the spirit didn't provide much information, it clearly enjoyed playing games and interacting with the flashing lights, particularly responding to the men in our group more than the women.

It was another fantastic night of ghost hunting with an incredible group of guests. We can't wait for next weekend's adventures.
