**A Night at Scolton Manor: Unearthing Spirits in Pembrokeshire**
Last night, Piers and I had the pleasure of hosting an enthusiastic group of 14 guests at the enchanting Scolton Manor in Pembrokeshire. The excitement was palpable, with seasoned ghost hunters and a few eager newcomers alike. Our night was filled with laughter, a perfect ingredient to build the energy needed for a successful ghost hunt.
The evening kicked off with a flurry of activity centered around our trusty K2 meters. These green, flashy light boxes were lighting up in response to our questions, and we engaged in intriguing conversations with a variety of spirits. One spirit claimed to be a gentleman who had once lived on the land, while another identified herself as a cook in the kitchen—though she confessed she didn’t enjoy cooking.
The kitchen proved to be a hotspot for paranormal activity. The Ouija board session there was particularly memorable. We made contact with a spirit named Elizabeth, a 19-year-old maid who said she passed away in 1839. Elizabeth shared fascinating details about her life: she worked at the property with her father, who was the butler and had secured her the job. She had two older siblings and two younger ones and proudly revealed her auburn hair, referring to herself as a "ginger."
Later in the evening, during a human pendulum session, we encountered the spirit of a wet nurse from 1837. Although she didn't divulge much about herself, she mentioned knowing Elizabeth and admitted she didn’t like her. This wet nurse spirit revealed that Elizabeth had drowned, but it was an accident.
It was an extraordinary night at an extraordinary venue, made even more special by the fantastic group of guests. Their energy and enthusiasm were the perfect catalysts for a night brimming with supernatural encounters.
